What types of services do you offer?
We teamed up, so when we say the opportunities are endless, we mean it! If you have an idea for a photograph, we can make it happen. Most often, we are busy with weddings, families, branding, boudoir, and real estate. Our landing page lists out even more.
How much does it cost?
We operate on a sliding scale, meaning we price per session. Our pricing depends on our calendar, equipment needs, images delivered, location, and more. We work off a template of how much we charge on average, and slide it down and up depending on the needs of the shoot. This way, you only pay for what you need.
How far in advance should I book?
We typically have our calendars built out quarterly, meaning we have a good understanding of what each day looks like for the following three months. However, we can book years out for larger events, like weddings. For smaller shoots, like studio sessions or real estate, we can typically accommodate within the week, pending availability! Short answer: reach out, and we’ll do our best to get you in!
What’s included in your pricing/packages?
When you book your session, it includes a design consultation, the session itself, and professional edits. We deliver photos using an online gallery, Pixieset, that allows you to download and print directly from there. You can easily share the link, and even mark photos private that are for your eyes only. Some sessions such as boudoir or weddings also include prints. Each session will have a minimum photo delivery expectation, and we can always add or remove aspects of a package according to your needs.
Do you travel for shoots?
Of course! If the calendar permits it, no destination is too far. Whether we are traveling across the country for an event, or across the state for a session, we’re always happy to explore. If remotely local, there may be a small travel fee based on miles traveled, which would be discussed prior to booking. Destination weddings are priced to cover part of our accommodations, so no need to pay a travel fee for those.
How long will it take to receive my photos?
When we do our initial consultation we will determine an exact timeline. However, most smaller shoots are delivered within a month, and weddings are typically turned around within 45 days. No matter what, we give you a sneak peek of your gallery with some edited teaser images within a few days.
What should I wear or bring to my session?
Maggie works with all of our clients to make sure we share the same vision. She will help you decide what outfits look best with the shoot. In general, we recommend solid colors and limited patterns, and love the neutrals. However, if you’re COMFORTABLE and you feel confident, that matters much more. As for props, so long as they are discussed prior and agreed upon, the more the merrier. Some studio shoots we have props we can provide.
What happens if it rains or I need to reschedule?
We’re all human, so we know things happen! If you need to reschedule, we will do our best to accommodate, so long as you give us at least 24-48 hours notice. Rain makes for some of the BEST photos, so we may encourage you to keep your original session. However, if the New England weather is too harsh, we will work together to reschedule. If we cannot find a new date that works, and you choose not to work with us, you will be refunded your session fee minus your retainer. No-showing or canceling within 24 hours will not result in any refunds.
How do you handle editing and retouching?
We edit with our own specific style and will do general retouching to every image we deliver. This generally includes adjusting light and color tonality, removing small blemishes and distractions, and of course straightening and cropping. When it comes to retouching people, we work to enhance your natural beauty. Happen to wake up with a pimple that morning? We can take care of that. However, we will never alter the shape of your face or body - we want your photos to represent YOU, not some beauty standard that shouldn’t exist to begin with! When we send your teasers, that’s the time to tell us if you don’t like something about the editing style. Additional edits following a complete gallery delivery may incur a fee, but we will do our best to ensure you love your gallery!
How do I secure my booking?
Your session is fully booked once you have signed a contract and paid your non-refundable retainer. Prior to booking, you will have a discovery call with Maggie, where we go over the details of the shoot, the pricing and payment plan (if required) and expectations for your gallery delivery. From there, you will receive a proposal that outlines what was discussed. Once signed and paid, you’re officially our newest friend!
